Here’s how Arcadia transformed a disused army helicopter into their jaw-dropping Dragonfly Stage at Glastonbury 2024.

The Arcadia Spider has long been an iconic figure looming over Worthy Farm, so when the crew announced plans for a brand new stage, with an entirely new vision, curiosity spiked as to what they could accomplished.

Ahead of the festival last year, we spoke with Arcadia founders Bert Cole and Pip Rush at their yard in Bristol to find out what they had planned. Following them on their journey from idea to creation, all the way to the build at Glastonbury, this is how the Arcadia crew pulled it off.

After hosting the likes of Amelie Lens, Fatboy Slim, KI/KI, Barry Can’t Swim and more in 2024, the Dragonfly returns to Worthy Farm this year with a stacked line-up boasting the likes of Girls Don’t Sync, Solomun, Michael Bibi and many, many more.
