In a historic moment for South African electronic music, Mixmag Lab made its Cape Town debut, not in the city’s commercial districts or typical nightlife zones, but in Langa, South Africa’s oldest township – at the Bridges for Music Academy – powered by AlphaTheta,
Bridges for Music is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved youth through music and education. Far from the typical party atmosphere, the event embraced a holistic, alcohol-free environment, challenging common misconceptions about safety and vibrancy in townships.
