========== Video Description ==========
PRODUCT TRANSPARENCY:
Pomodoro timer: I am not sponsored by any timer company, buy any timer
Ergonomic chair: I was recently sponsored by Flexispot who also make ergonomic chairs, and they offered me a well paid sponsorship to advertise a chair of theirs but I guess my relationship with them has probably crashed and burned now after this video.
Keyboards: After having already been a fan of Kinesis keyboards, I did reach out to them and they gave me a massive deal on the custom keyboard I have in this video which I have been using already for quite some time… it’s the professional model with Gateron browns and blank keycaps. However they did not pay me to make this video and this video is not a kinesis ad. What I am saying about ulnar deviation, pronation and extension you can just look up yourself, confirm to be true, and you will see that Kinesis were pioneers in designing ergonomic mechanical contoured split keyboards since the early 90s and that they have indeed been embraced by the programming community. There are also competing products but in my personal opinion, Kinesis keyboards are still the best, which is why I am recommending them here and that is completely independent to the fact I got a deal from them. My experiences with RSI / carpel tunnel are real and I’ve discussed that stuff elsewhere on my channel and this keyboard legit helps with that. But because I want to be as unbiased as possible, here is the competition: bastardkb is a tiny manufacturer who individually 3D prints their keyboards, ZSA make a few popular and cool looking keyboards like the moonlander but they are completely flat with no contour. That said, the moonlander is solid and aesthetic as lightweight travel keyboard for working in cafes etc, but I would not recommend as a studio keyboard. Finally, MoErgo make the glove80 which is IMHO essentially a Kinesis rip-off designed to be more lightweight and with nerdy unnecessary RGB lights but the tenting is fiddly, the design is a bit plasticy, there’s too many key rows and the thumb cluster is slightly awkward. That’s basically it. I am not aware of any other readily available off the shelf products that come anywhere close. There are many more competitors for products like the MWave because they are “more normal” and so more common but I am personally more interested in full split keyboards.
Vertical mouse: I am not sponsored by Logitech however I would avoid buying a super cheap random amazon mouse. I have done this before and they are fine at first but the materials degrade and go sticky and weird over time. This indicates to me that the materials used are probably toxic or otherwise low quality and I dont want to have my hand touching weird no-brand mystery plastics all day.
