Every week we invite the world’s biggest and freshest DJs to lay it down in the club in the corner of our office. This week we welcome Amirali (pictured) and Fur Coat from Crosstown Rebels.
Amirali released his highly acclaimed debut album ‘In Time’ on Crosstown Rebels in May 2012. He’s quickly amassed fans around the globe and the likes of Deetron, MK and Deniz Kurtel have all done remixes for him. In February of this year he made it into the history books as the first ever artist to live stream a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. He performed his hour long mix live from the BBC’s famous Live Lounge studio. Check him out here.
Off the back of their month long tour of the US, Venezuelan duo Fur Coat will also be joining us in The Lab. After meeting at a house party in 2004, Fur Coat went on to be scouted by Damian Lazarus’ record label. 2010 saw the release of their debut EP ‘Space Ballad’ and their monster remix of Russ Yallop’s ‘The Crossroads’. With vocals from Cari Golden, their track ‘You and I’ went on to become the anthem of both WMC and BPM Festival in 2012. They’re currently working on remixes for Timo Maas and DJ W!LD as well as releases for Crosstown Rebels and Hot Creations.
