For the July edition of her Bodyvision West residency, Gavilán Rayna Russom hands the decks and mic over to some of the brilliant artists she works with at Voluminous Arts, an organization she founded in 2020 to foreground, nurture, and advance the experimental artistic culture of transgender people and communities. This packed booth takeover will be co-created in the signature Bodyvision B-on-B style by Xana, theoretic, Certified Jesus Freak, dj listen to ur heart, DjLamby88, Sodomahigomorra, and DollNxtDoor. Bodyvision West is the NYC local offshoot of Rayna’s Bodyvision residency show on Mutant Radio Tbilisi. Both shows explore the connections between bodies, memory, sound, and knowing.
