‘Carista presents Modern Intimacy Volume 2’ aims to”nurture and showcase contemporary Dutch homegrown artists”
Carista has curated a new compilation of new Dutch electronic music for her label United Identities.
‘Carista presents Modern Intimacy Volume 2’ aims to”nurture and showcase contemporary Dutch homegrown artists and the range of their craft”. Out on 25th November, the album features 10 artists and dips into everything from dreamy techno and bass-heavy breaks to experimental synth jazz. You can listen to Thrills in +41’s ‘Strangelove64’ from the comp below.
On 26th November, to mark the release of the compilation, Carista will host a special launch party in Amsterdam’s Skatecafe featuring friends of the United Identities label, including some artists who appear on the release. DJs on the night include Josey Rebelle, Ngoni Egan, Black Cadmium, Alberta Balsam, Mary Lake and Carista herself. Tickets for that are available here.
This new compilation follows 2020’s ‘Modern Intimacy Volume 1′ compilation, which marked United Identities’ first physical release.
Last year we heard the Utrecht DJ and United Identities label boss’s slow and spacious dancefloor rework of ‘Tastes Like Freedom’, the single from Melbourne jazz group 30/70 for Rhythm Section International.
