HÖR Talks Invites – Alan Oldham, Lenny Posso & Waynette / August 10 / 5pm-7pm

In this months instalment of HÖR Talks Invites we are joined by true pioneers of their craft: Alan Oldham & Lenny Posso, as well as fairly fresh newcomer in the scene Waynette to discuss the origins of techno music, the rise of underground music culture, the whitewashing and erasure of black music history, as well as the current state of the music industry and the views on the future of it.

Alan Oldham
Detroit born DJ, producer, label owner, graphic artist and painter, Alan started his musical career in 1987, as a host of a radio show called “Fast Forward” which was the first ever radio program in Detroit, devoted to electronic music.
He worked closely with such labels as Underground Resistance Djax-Up-Beats, Generator, & Tresor, and established his own imprint Pure Sonik. Alan remains an active part of electronic music culture.

Lenny Posso
Born and raised New Yorker Lenny Posso has been an important figure of NYC dance music culture over the past two decades.
Starting off as a dancer Lenny got involved further deeper into underground music movement and soon found himself working as a promoter and DJ. He has founded his own label Thema Recordings in 2006 in Brooklyn, and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Waynette
Starting to make music back in 2006, Waynette, originally from Heidelberg, Waynette moved to Berlin in 2011, she was inspired by the club scene, and began collecting records and developing her DJ skills, and soon started producing music. Her debut album finally saw the light on Supply Records.
Waynette is a young artist on the rise whose distinctive and effortless sound needs to be heard.
