I came to Electric Forest last year for the first time, not to play, but to experience it after hearing so many incredible stories. While frolicking around, my manager told me that the surprise guest of the “Grand Artique” had dropped out, and they were wondering if I wanted to fill in. I took the slot and it was one of my favorite sets I’ve played.
Coming back this year on the main billing was super special. The Grand Artique asked if I wanted to be the surprise guest this year for a full-circle moment, and of course I said yes. I decided to bring out Levity and Super Future for an anything goes b2b.
The Carousel Club was one of 4 sets I played that weekend. There was no one playing the stage for 3 hours before I was scheduled to play from 3am to 4:15 am, so I was a little nervous no one was going to be there. But it was such a fun crowd and energy. During the set, I saw a little kid running around on stage during my set, and I asked him he wanted to come up and boogie with me haha. Turns out it was Pasquale’s (festival owner’s son).
Electric Forest is such an incredible and inclusive community where artists are really allowed to push the boundaries. Met so many amazing people this year, can’t wait to go back – whether playing or as a fan.
