Jorge Perlestein from Veracruz, Mexico; Passionate about music from an early age, he dabbled in amateur dance and later professionally, specializing in Latin rhythms.
He began exploring turntables, mixers and electronic music since 2004 and discovers an even greater passion,
but it wasn’t until 2007 that he started playing under the alias “Le Perles”.
Over time, he developed a style that was notable among countless talents, which led him to travel to various parts of the Mexican Republic, performing in the best clubs in the center and south of the country.
And it was on the Pacific coast, in Puerto Escondido City, where the Jay Perlestein project was born, to later settle in the Riviera Maya, based in Playa del Carmen, where he continues to this day as one of the favorite exponents of the Mexican Caribbean.
In 2015, he entered Gustavo Lobo’s music production academy, then Perphetual Studios, today Hovvler Academy. 2 years later he manages to sign his first production Moon Road, Signed by the Canadian label Modern Agenda. Single that was released along with two remixes, one by Gustavo Lobo and another by Audictive. starting his path as a musical producer which today has been consolidated by signing labels such as Fibonacci Recordings, Modern Agenda, Modern Architect, Gasoline Records, RPO Tribe, Hovvler Music, Uxoa Dutxa Elite, KMT Records, 1101 Records & Mistique Music.
By the end of 2021 he began to be part of the roster of artists of BORN IN MEXICO, an agency which is characterized by having the best national talents of the underground scene in Mexico.
Jay surrounds the dance floor with a mix of Deep & Progressive House that subtly goes up to Techno, fusing them with Indie Dance and Electronica sounds, creating an atmosphere full of dramatic melodies, powerful bass lines and Latin touches, a combination that sets him apart.
