Born in Brazil, Hyanna has lived in NYC for a decade, sharpening her ear for music on the streets of the city and its underground dance floors. Her love for music of all kinds started as a child, digging for interesting sounds on early online discussion forums and the vast collections of family members. Hyanna’s passions for music, dancing and history coalesced into her present work as a DJ, sound system tech and record store clerk. She intends to share emotion through sound by playing dance music, world, jazz, disco and whatever moves her spirit.
