Mixing 808s & Kicks with Envelope Follower | Ableton Live Tutorial

In this video our instructor Boris is going to show you a very cool way of mixing 808s and Kicks in Trap. We’re going to use an Envelope Follower linked to the Gain of a Low Shelf in EQ Eight. This results in doing “sidechain” type ducking but it’s more subtle – as only the low end is reduced when the kick is playing.
