The Lab is our weekly office rave up / live stream direct from Mixmag HQ. However, for the next few weeks we will be moving The Lab to the Samsung GALAXY Shoreditch Studio — a pop up record shop in the heart of East London. Friday November 1 is set to be huge as we have Breach and his Naked Naked label mates Mak & Pasteman and Lorca taking control.
Breach has had a phenomenal year: his single ‘Jack’ became the hit of the summer and his record label has boasted releases from Dusky, Midland, Dark Sky, Citizen and Breach himself.
Real name Ben Westbeech, Breach’s musical talent began as a cellist and a vocalist which explains his signature style, combining classic vocals with deep basslines. He’s previously released on labels like Brownswood , 2020Vision, Strictly Rhythm, Pets, Dirtybird, PTN and of course Naked Naked. This autumn will also see him remix the sounds of George Fitzgerald, Sei A and Tiga & Matthew Dear.
A week after The Lab you can catch Breach play I Love Techno, Ghent, Belgium. Also on the line up are Baauer, Disclosure, Laurent Garnier, Claptone, Marcel Dettmann and Nina Kraviz. I Love Techno has grown massively since its launch back in 1995 where Daft Punk and Richie Hawtin played to 700 people and it’s Nnw one of the biggest and most respected festivals in Europe.
