DJ Hops ist eine feste Größe im Berliner Bass-Untergrund. Er ist langjähriger Resident DJ im Ohm, wo er seit 2014 gemeinsam mit Orson Sieverding die Reihe VERSION veranstaltet. DJ Hops’ musikalische Wurzeln liegen in der jamaikanisch-britischen Soundsystemkultur. Dementsprechend betreute er er lange Zeit die Reggae- und Dub-Abteilung im Berliner Plattenladen Hard Wax.
