In this video tutorial, our instructor Boris shows you how to write a chord progression for melodic and progressive house. We’re going to start by selecting the scale with the new (Ableton Live 11) Scale function. Then we’ll write basic triads and proceed to extending them with additional notes. We’ll add syncopating rhythm and we’ll juxtapose it with the melody notes. At the end we’ll use a synth to play the progression and we’ll see how it performs in context of the full track.
