Vril & Rødhåd presents: Out Of Place Artefacts – Stone Techno X Zollverein – ARTE Concert

?? Schon gegen Ende der 1990er-Jahre legte Rødhåd den Grundstein für seine DJ-Karriere. Die zeitlose, perfektionistische Art und Weise, wie er Dub-Techno mit perkussiven Grooves ineinander mixte, brachte ihm weitläufige Anerkennung. Seit 2010 zählt er zu den Residents des Berliner Berghain Clubs.
Zur selben Zeit eroberte Vril fast aus dem Nichts die Techno-Szene im Sturm. Als Producer verfolgt er eine zeitlose Klangästhetik, die nicht irgendwelche Trends des Genres bedient. Mit energetischen Live-Sets begeistert er sowohl ein nationales als auch internationales Publikum.
Das Ruhr Museum und The Third Room verbinden in “STONE TECHNO” Wissenschaft und Musik. Dazu laden sie international hochkarätige Künstler*innen wie Colin Benders, Nene H, Oscar Mulero, Rødhåd, Jamaica Suk und Vril ein, um mit gesampelten Sounds aus der Kulturgeschichte des Bergbaus im Ruhrgebiet und weiteren Schätzen aus ihren Plattensammlungen einen spektakulären Ausstellungsrundgang zu vertonen. Die Kohlenwäsche der Zeche Zollverein und das gerade eröffnete Schaudepot des Ruhr Museums verwandeln sich so in einen synästhetischen Zeittunnel…

?? Dès la fin des années 1990, Rødhåd a jeté les bases de sa carrière de DJ. Sa façon intemporelle et perfectionniste de mélanger la dub techno et les grooves percussifs lui a valu une large reconnaissance. Depuis 2010, il est l’un des résidents du Berghain Club de Berlin.

Au même moment, Vril a pris d’assaut la scène techno, presque sorti de nulle part. En tant que producteur, il poursuit une esthétique sonore intemporelle qui ne sert aucune tendance du genre. Avec ses sets live énergiques, il inspire un public national et international.

Le Musée de la Ruhr et The Third Room allient science et musique dans “STONE TECHNO”. À cette fin, ils invitent des artistes internationaux de premier plan tels que Colin Benders, Nene H, Oscar Mulero, Rødhåd, Jamaica Suk et Vril à mettre en musique une tournée d’exposition spectaculaire avec des sons échantillonnés de l’histoire culturelle de l’exploitation minière dans la région de la Ruhr et d’autres trésors de leurs collections de disques. Le lavoir à charbon du complexe industriel de la mine de Zollverein et le dépôt d’exposition récemment ouvert au musée de la Ruhr sont ainsi transformés en un tunnel temporel synesthésique…

?? As early as the late 1990s, Rødhåd laid the foundation for his DJ career. The timeless, perfectionist way he mixed dub techno with percussive grooves brought him widespread recognition. Since 2010, he has been one of the residents of Berlin’s Berghain club.

At the same time, Vril took the techno scene by storm almost out of nowhere. As a producer, he pursues a timeless sound aesthetic that does not cater to any trends of the genre. With energetic live sets he inspires both a national and international audience.

The Ruhr Museum and The Third Room combine science and music in “STONE TECHNO”. To this end, they are inviting top international artists such as Colin Benders, Nene H, Oscar Mulero, Rødhåd, Jamaica Suk and Vril to set a spectacular exhibition tour to music with sampled sounds from the cultural history of mining in the Ruhr region and other treasures from their record collections. The coal washing plant of the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex and the recently opened exhibition depot of the Ruhr Museum are thus transformed into a synesthetic time tunnel…
